Foster Families are needed throughout Newfoundland and Labrador. To Foster is to share heart and home with a child/youth. Foster Families provide a nurturing, supportive home environment for children. Foster Care is meant to be a temporary arrangement to allow birth families to work on a range of challenges that resulted in their child being placed in foster care. Bullying – What We Know and What we Can Do (Training)

Bullying is a painful reality for many children. Adult intervention is the key to bullying prevention. Parents and caregivers need to be aware of the behaviours and emotional signs that children are being victimized or are using power aggressively. The effects of bullying are immediate and longlasting, putting our children at risk for a number of physical, social, and mental health problems.
