We will be having a half day training in Grand-Falls at the Mount Peyton Hotel on October 22 from 9am -1pm with lunch provided. A child friendly event to celebrate our 40th year as an Association will occur from 2-4pm. For the afternoon event there will be snacks, balloon twisting and other activities. Please RSVP to nlffa@nfld.net or call 754-0213. If childcare is a barrier for the morning or you have dietary restrictions, please let us know.
Training: LivingWorks safeTALK facilitators will present to participants. The session will prepare you to raise and respond to concerns about suicide in relationships with family, friends, and co-workers. It will equip you to build a culture of safety from suicide in your organization or community. You can play a vital connector role in what LivingWorks has called a Networks of Safet. A support person will also be on site to check in with participants individually if needed. All foster parents and social workers are invited to attend.
