Foster Families are needed throughout Newfoundland and Labrador. To Foster is to share heart and home with a child/youth. Foster Families provide a nurturing, supportive home environment for children. Foster Care is meant to be a temporary arrangement to allow birth families to work on a range of challenges that resulted in their child being placed in foster care. Free information session on the new online Notified and CASEY (Coalition Against Sexual Exploitation of Youth) training facilitated by Amnesty Cornelius, CASEY Coordinator and Lori Petersen, Co-Chair of CASEY.
This will be a recorded session with live Q&A at the end. The purpose of the program is to introduce information about the online program that focuses on safety, grooming, warning signs etc. and is geared towards youth, caregivers, professionals etc. An over view of CASEY training and what is occurring in our province will also be discussed.
